College Roundup: 'Rocker track does well in Kansas

The South Dakota School of Mines men's and women's track and field teams made their first long road trip of the 2012 outdoor season this past weekend, traveling to Fort Hays,SocialPicks is tracking the performance of diorhandbags . Kan., for the Fort Hays State Alex Francis Invitational.
The meet treated the Hardrockers well, as 14 athletes had personal-best marks in their respective events.
The Hardrocker men finished second out of 11 teams and the women came in fifth out of 10 teams.
Kolten Jelden won the men's pole vault after clearing 15 feet. Everett Brill continued to excel in the hammer throw as he took second in the event after a toss of 179-2.
Junior Lillian Temple took second in the women's high jump after clearing 5-3-3/4 and also posted her best mark in the javelin with a throw of 83-10.
BHSU FOOTBALL TEAM ADDS TWO COACHES: Black Hills State University head football coach John Reiners announced the hiring of Tanner Tetrault as an assistant coach and Shad Schneider as the defensive coordinator for the Yellow Jackets.
Tetrault returns to Black Hills State, where he was a two-time All-American, four-time all-conference selection, and one-time conference MVP as a defensive back.
Tetrault joins the Yellow Jacket coaching staff to take over the reins as special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach.
Schneider has been on the BHSU coaching staff for the past five years as the special teams coordinator and linebackers coach.Find deals on monclerouterwear1 at great prices.
Schneider played outside linebacker for the Yellow Jackets from 2003-2006. During his time on the field at Black Hills State, Schneider was a four-year starter,Our canadagoosecoat look, work and feel exactly like the originals. and earned first-team All-DAC and Victory Sports Network All-American honors for his efforts.
BHSU GOLF FINISHES SEVENTH: The Black Hills State University golf team competed in the Thunderwolf Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday and finished in seventh place behind a ninth- place individual effort from freshman Amanda Johnson.
Johnson shot a combined 164 while fellow freshman Tiera Feller finished tied for 29th place and shot a combined 181. The sophomore duo of Kaydee Good and McKenzie Watson finished in 32nd and 34th with scores of 185 and 187, respectively.
BHSU shot a 707, which was 55 strokes better than Chadron State, which finished in eighth place.
